Here is another quick tip guide for beating procrastination according to an article by a writer for Student Cribs, Lily Nguyen.
Learn to eliminate distractions. Put away your phone, close out all irrelevant tabs on your browser, turn the TV off. Whatever you have to do, just make sure you are in a distraction-free zone if you want to complete quality work.
Set yourself deadlines. This was a point made in an earlier blog, but it is just as important now! In your planner or on your phone set yourself little deadlines along the way. It makes a huge project manageable.
There is a time and place that everyone feels most productive. Make note of that time during the day and do important assignments during that time. You will feel more alert and efficient. Along with feeling more efficient, exercise and eating healthy is important as well. Keeping your blood flowing and your mind and body fed will help you be more productive.
The last tip is to set yourself little motivation goals while you study and do your work. For example: if you finish all of your homework and study for an hour, go get ice cream! I promise, it works!
