Jordan Bates, wrote an awesome blog about his 21 Tips to Hack Productivity, while it is very extensive, I boiled it down to 3 main points:

1. Complete the task at hand (within reason)
2. Minimize distractions
3. Living healthy

The first tip of completing the task at hand (within reason), breaks into 3 parts. The first is completing the most important tasks first, identify the most crucial tasks to complete for the day. Do those tasks first and after you’re done, you have already won! The second part of this tip is setting a time limit for each task. Setting a time constraint should help motivate you to complete the task efficiently. The third is giving all of your focus to the task at hand. Get off social media and put away your phone and find a quiet place that is your own to really focus on the task at hand.

The second tip of minimizing your distractions breaks into 2 parts. The first part is learning to say “No”. Learning how to say no to opportunities and different social situations, is crucial to juggling your responsibilities and engagements. In addition, another tip is being aware of how much time you are spending watching TV, on social media or gaming. Time spent doing these things can be very unproductive, so learning to manage your time spent doing these activities is important.

The third tip of living healthy breaks into 3 parts. The first is sleeping 7 to 8 hours per night. Sleep is incredible and not something you should sacrifice for productivity. Doing activities while tired or pulling all nighters isn’t a good way to get things done. Another tip is getting an early start. It’s much easier to get things done, if you set your mind to get up early and be productive. The last part of this tip is exercising and eating healthily. Studies show that living a healthy lifestyle by exercising and eating healthily is linked with work productivity.

Good luck with your time management and remember to work smart!
